Increasing Your Fiber...Comfortably

One of the best ways to reduce the risk of cancer, boost health, and manage weight is to eat a variety of vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. HMR meal replacements make it super-easy to get in extra servings throughout the day. For a quick and easy fiber win, add a cup of berries and a banana to any HMR Shake.  Add a cup (or more) of broccoli, a cup of corn or beans, or a baked potato to any entree.  The added fiber will help "bulk up" your lunch or dinner while helping you to slim down.

 

If you experience any discomfort increasing your fiber intake, try these suggestions:

  • Increase fiber intake gradually.
  • Rinse canned beans well.
  • Try cooking vegetables to ease digestion.
  • Drink plenty of liquids.
  • Exercise daily
