Atlanta, GA (March 1, 2002) Scott Isaacs, M.D., F.A.C.P., an internist
and endocrinologist practicing in Atlanta, GA, has been elected
a Fellow of the American College of Physicians-American Society
of Internal Medicine (ACP-ASIM), the society of internists. The
distinction recognizes achievements in internal medicine, the specialty
of adult medical care.
Dr. Isaacs was elected upon the recommendation of peers and the
review of ACP-ASIM's credentials subcommittee. He may now use the
letters "F.A.C.P." after his name.
Dr. Isaacs is Clinical Instructor of Medicine in the Department
of Internal Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine and
the Medical Director at Intelligent Health Center. He is affiliated
with Northside Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital and Atlanta Medical
Center. Dr. Isaacs is certified in internal medicine, endocrinology,
diabetes and metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
A graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, GA, Dr. Isaacs earned
a medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine and completed
his residency at Emory. He then pursued subspecialty training in
endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism, the treatment of hormonal
and glandular disorders.
The American College of Physicians-American Society of Internal
Medicine (ACP-ASIM) is the nation's largest medical specialty organization
and the second-largest physician group. Its membership comprises
more than 115,000 internal medicine physicians and medical students.
Internists are specialists in the prevention, detection and treatment
of illnesses that primarily affect adults.
